Think this needs a touch up?

To be fair, the first time I cut a bunch of carpet with an M390 Hinderer the edge looked every bit that bad.
It touched up easily and has held it since.
Hope this one behaves the same...

lol, yes, touch it up with a strop ideally, if you're finished going through tree buckets...

if you're not done abusing it, don't bother to touch it up yet : )

tree bucket being a plastic bucket trees come in when ya buy them? so covered in dirt and sand, unless washed?

I had an M390 Non Flip and It held an edge and came to a nasty polish no better than my CRK Inkosi S35VN before that.

Part of the selling point of the Hinderer was the thick tip and edge holding.

I had to thin it out big time to even compete at the same level.

I'm back with a 2018 21 and couldnt be happier!

Better lock up, machining, edge geometry and design. Only by a tid bit. But it's there .The M390 3.5 Hinderer is a top 5 knife of mine. So no BS.

Yes. I would have used one of my many junk blades for that .

Granted, a fixed blade would have been ideal.
But I wouldn't call this abuse by a long shot. Hard use, maybe?

Man, that looks nasty. I hope it wasn't one of those flimsy buckets. It would make me feel better if it was one of those heavy duty buckets. See, that's where a serrated edge is better suited. Of course, when folks use their knives, things like this happen;).

How can you tell?

(hint: I've only ever opened a couple of letters with it and have never sharpened it at all)
I'm just talking smack sorry. I had enough knives behave like crap with their factory sharpening jobs. It's normal occurrence. You should keep that bucket for knife testing.
