Here's the first one. I'm keeping it turned over and the name on the box redacted for now, but you can see the blade. This one may get flipped over soon, don't know yet.

As you could see from the boxes, I got 4 small Sebenzas. 4 beauties!

Smalls.jpg

The top one I don't think of a real grail, but it's definitely a sweet knife. A Regular with BG-42 steel, a MOP inlay, and a beautiful design. My pics don't do it justice. It makes me think of a spray of flowers.

The next is a small classic from 2001 with B&W Spiro damascus. May not be considered a grail because it's not a Regular, but a great addition to my collection for sure. A really good early example of Lisa's artwork here, with the wavy lines varying in depth that she was using quite a bit at the time as she was getting her wings.

Then we have a UG Regular with blue spiro damascus, and WOW, what a design! This beauty just rocks!

Last in this pic we have a 2001 Annual with Box Elder and bronze Pinstripe damascus. One out of less than half a dozen I've seen.

I was offered 2 Mnandis, couldn't pass up either. :) One is kind o boring compared to some of these other knives, but I'm really glad to have it. It's # 61 with Ziricote from the first run of 200. My pic doesn't do the wood justice, as it does have some figuring. Very beautiful, and a nice counterpart to my #2 of 25 Redwood made simultaneously as a KnifeArt exclusive.

This one, well, get ready........... It's a nice looking Bocote inlay, but the blade is Gary House navy/maroon Zebra damascus! :D :D

At the top of the pic we have another early Lisa from 2001, with BG-42 steel.

Next is a 2001 Annual with Box Elder and BG-42 steel.

Last but CERTAINLY not least............................. drumroll please...................... It's a misspelled Morse Code Sebenza! One of only 6 made, only 5 in the wild. Chris kept one to eventually pass down to his son. This is the only one that I didn't get a birth card with, but it's from 1993. Note that it's also a P. Yep, I got a P finally, although it's not really a UG since there are 6 alike. The story behind this knife has bee published in Knives Illustrated years ago, and there's some real history here. The short version.....

Chris decided he wanted to put what had was becoming his motto of 'Think twice, Cut once' on a knife, and someone came up with the idea to do it in Morse Code. Anne's father knew it from his life's work, and they called him and he whistled the code for a nurse from his hospital bed in South Africa. It was faxed to CRK, and Anne's father passed away a few days later. Somewhere along the way, there was a mistake in the translation, and 'twice' became 'tuice'. The mistake was discovered after the run was finished, and it was decided to let them go out anyway and become a part of CRK history...

Outstanding additions to your very fine collection, thank you for sharing with us.
I had never seen or heard of the Morse code model before, very neat.

I'm thinking you print the money for the Homeland Security budget.

In your basement.

The word 'budget' flew out the window when this opportunity came along. :o I spent cash that I had set aside for something else, but decided I wanted these more.

Congrats LW. Those are all fantastic additions to a what was already a very impressive collection. I always look forward to seeing what new grails you'll be showing off next.
