I really want a small knife to carry in my left pocket and decided on the Ladybug but I'm not too sure on which one to get. I'm leaning towards the purple just because it's got zazz but I'm also interested in the foliage green and h1 variants. I'm not asking you you guys to make up my mind, I just want some opinions from those who have one of these models. Pics are welcomed of course.

How cool would it be if they made one in something like m390? but then I guess they would have to make it somewhere other than Japan. Just a random thought.

I have the yellow H-1 Ladybug, and would recommend the purple one if you like the color, plus it is low priced, and you are getting VG-10.
The lowest price I've seen the Ladybug 3 Plain Edge, Purple is $27.36 on Amazon. The prices on Amazon fluctuate daily, so it is worth watching the prices.

My preference would just the plain black handled Ladybug which I've seen on certain websites named after a river for less than $21.

I have the green zdp189 version and it is the most capable knife on the market for it's size in my opinion. And I got mine for $36. You can't beat it man.

That's easy, they're one of the famous Bladeforum unapproved vendors. :D

I love my ladybug, however if I was to do it over I'd take a hard look at the slightly larger Manbug. With these smaller blades I've come to actually like serration's and feel that they help get the most out of a smaller knife (just my opinion serrations are obviously not for everyone). Also my Ladybug is H1 and as much as I hate to admit it I bought it due to the nifty yellow handle and if I was to purchase another I might go the ZDP-189 route but H1 is fine as long as it's serrated

Same here, I have a yellow serrated hawkbill Ladybug that I have bead chained to my house keys. It has come in handy many times. Great for opening packages.

Thanks for all the input guys. I got inpatient and ordered before anyone posted:D I ended up getting a plain edge ladybug salt. I didn't realize The serrated ones have a higher hardness than the plain edge ones but I don't mind. It's going to be kind of a novelty and conversation piece anyway. I'm pretty excited to try out the h1.

I think you will like it, especially the rust-proof properties. And the yellow makes it very easy to find.

There are still have some orange h1 ladybugs availible for 37 bucks. I can email you the link.
