I still dont have one. I figure that it is high time for me to try one out.

I am torn between the ZDP Green and the Green G10.

I do not have any experience with ZDP189 or VG10...

Any suggestions on what would be better for a first Endura, general use?

Thanks!!

Spyderco's VG-10 is one of my all time favorite steels. Takes a razor edge easily, and holds it well too.

Id take the FFG G10 handle VG10 blade over the zdp189 with FRN.

I LOVE Spydercos VG10. I think it compares well with S30V. ZDP will hold its edge a lot longer but is tougher to resharpen if you let it get dull. VG10 isnt hard to resharpen at all.

ZDP-189 is hell to sharpen if you let it get too dull. It holds a great edge, but VG-10 is much easier to sharpen is no slouch when it comes to edge holding.

I just received a FFG G-10 Endura this past week. Man, what a knife. I love the texture of Spyderco G-10 and this knife feels very solid in the hand. Get it, you won't be sorry.

Nah, it's only hell to reprofile. Sharpening from a dull edge can be done in about 15 minutes with a DMT Fine (red) stone.

My wish list would be a black G10 with S90V.

...and a pointy tip.
