Hey everyone,
Im Thinking About Getting A Case CV Yellow Peanut, anybody have this one? Can you tell me how you like it and any problems you've had with it?
Thanks for any help, Matty.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help, do you think the knife is too small? Or is it a nice size?

It's the best size, for an urban carry anyway, (though it can sharpen some nice pointy hotdog sticks), once you get used to it. It's not for all, but you should give it a chance, get one and carry it, use it for a week. Then, you'll know.
The peanut is all the time in my pocket, and i rarely need something else.

Just get one. If you don't like it I'll take it off your hands. Great little knife.

Thanks guys, I've always wanted to check out a case knife. And since everybody here seems to like them, I think I have to get a peanut :)

It's a very nice little knife. But as far as being too small, you have to make that choice by asking yourself 'too small for what?'.

If you carry a pocket knife for cutting a piece of rope, opening a UPS or FEDEX box, opening a cursed plastic blister package that defies tooth and fingernails, slicing a piece off that nice hunk of cheddar cheese in the fridge, cleaning a couple of pan fish for dinner, or any other of the pocket knife type of jobs that come up, it's fine. It'll do just fine. It's not too small for 99.9 percent of what we do in the real world of modern suburbia.

It's not a zombie slayer, survival tool for the Alaskan bush, defense against a hungry grizzly bear, or fending off a horde of Chinese paratroopers. For that, I'd recommend a sodbuster.
:D

If a peanut won't do, then it's time for the small machete.

You will learn such things when you become one with the cult.

Haha thanks, Jackknife. I have a small Rough Rider Peanut, but I think it's time for an upgrade. :)

The case peanut has always been one of my favorite Case knives. Hear is a few I have.

Thanks for the pics. What is that? The red is awesome!

Just be aware, if you're not sold on the Rough Rider, especially its size and usefulness to you, buying into a Case Peanut will likely not make a measurable difference.

You can't go wrong with a yellow cv peanut, I have one on my pocket at all times. The blades are thin, and perfect for fine tasks. Certainly not made for hard use but that's not it's purpose. Handy as a pocket on a shirt.

In any case, the yella and CV is a total classic in the peanut. The chestnut bone is pretty, the amber bone is very pretty. The stag, if you can find one that has not had the bark polished almost off, is good. But a well used yella peanut, with some nice gray patina on the blades, is a great combination of looks. Classic. It's almost the definition of the word.

Consider also the Case Pen Knife, which is barely bigger - but still very small - and gives you just a little more real estate for your hand. I own (hoard) Peanuts, but find a slightly bigger knife is a little more user friendly, but still is invisible in the pocket.

Thanks Pertinux, the rough rider is a great size for my EDC, but it's not the greatest quality, I didn't know if the Case was going to be smaller or anything.but I want to upgrade in quality more than anything else.

This is how I see it too. The Peanut gets a lot of rightful praise, but I prefer the Pen as I like single-spring knives. As Sarah pointed out, the RR Peanut is not much different from the CASE, particularly sizewise .But yellow delrin is always appealing whatever the pattern......

Okay, that makes sense. "Great size for my EDC" suggests that you'll be very happy with a Case Peanut in CV. :)
