Thinking about getting his and hers mini commanders

After carefull consideration I have decided to get myself a Mini commander to use as my EDC. The only catch is my girlfriend will want to use it as well, and may attempt to hornswagle it from me. I figure if I buy one for her too she will be more forgiving and leave mine alone. Anyhow, Is this going to be a good hard use knife? I have owned a commander (full size) before, and it had a few QC issues. Are the new ones better? With respect to my signifigant other, she will probably use this knife harder than I will. We are both at Andrews AFB, providing ground base defense, and by the luck of the draw, she is doing more ground pounding than I am, and needs a tough knife. I let her borrow my CRKT F-14, but altough it's a nice little (toy:)) of a knife, It will not withstand as much use as she intends to bring forth. Also, we are both waiting to get deployed to the big sandbox, so a no nonsense folder will be needed. The fullsize commander is just a bit big for my taste. Is the Mini a good choice?

I picked em' up this afternoon. She loves hers! I love mine! We love each other! Life is good!:)
