So, I've always been a leatherman man, and still think they make the best "tools" on the market, but I feel like expanding a little. I'm looking right now for something a little more "perfect" in the fit and finish department, as well as good looks, simplicity, and light weight. Right now amazon.com has a "spend $50, get $10 back" sale going on, so it looks liket the right time to buy. I don't really like toothpicks, corkscrews, or hooks. My wife has a classic alox and I'm really liking it. Here's what I'm planning to get so far, let me know what you think...

Classic Alox=dress/inconspicuos knife
Bantam Alox=edc with a blade-saving tool
Solo Alox=just plain cool
Farmer Alo=outdoors/camping knife

If I sign up for the credit card, I could get it all for about $25 :D

Great choice :D My favourite in that little lot is the Alox Farmer , your gonna love that  Also have you thought about a one handed trekker ?

Dunc

Is there a site which shows all of these, and other ones?
Nice selection of knives, I like the farmer..

I would recommend a Tinker- it'll give you more function than the Bantam, and its only 2 layers. No corkscrew, but you get a phillips head driver. I wouldn't buy a Vic Classic from them, or anywhere else "new". If you choose to use it, as a keyfob, it'll get beat up quickly. They sell cheap on eBay (I was lucky and got mine for 25c each) used (especially if its from NTSA).

Good choices. Victorinox is addicting....

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I'll check out that tinker, cause I do like a phillips driver. I don't think I'll do the OH thing, for me if I go that direction I'd grap my Delica or Charge. Can you find a good condition classic cheap on ebay? I wouldnt plan to use it on my keys, but just as a dress knife or when I'm going to be going to a museum/goverment building/etc where they give you a hard time about having a knife. By the way, I sat down with my wife's classic and my sharpmaker and took it from butterknife to hair splitting sharp in no time. I think I'm going to like these things. :D
