Thinking about pulling the trigger...

Okay, over the past week or so I've been going through a bunch of knives that I've wanted to get (as you can likely tell from all my threads =P) and am getting close to the point of pulling the trigger on the order/s. But, It's kind of a good bit of money :\

BM 940 PE - $122
My only folders of mention are a Griptilian and a Tenacious. This is a higher quality, 'finer' folder. I want something on the nicer side to add to my fledgling collection.

Case Med Stockman, Amber Bone, CV (Engraved) - $47
I want to get a decent pocket knife to see if I enjoy this type of knife. Also, provides a smaller knife that can be used when pulling out a locking folder isn't the best of ideas. (Anyone know approx. how thick these are?)

Ontario RAT Folder - $30
Since I started to get into knives late last year, I have for some reason desperately wanted this knife... Saw some videos on Youtube and was intrigued by it. Seems like a sturdy little folder that could be used in the outdoors... Now thinking about it, this will likely be cut.

KaBar USMC Fighter/Utility (Short / Full, upgrade leather sheath to Kydex +$8) $42 / $52
I have only folders at this point, and I kind of want to get an affordable all around fixed blade that can serve as a survival blade (batoning wood, camp tasks, etc.). I don't camp or go hiking really, but am entertaining the idea of doing so in the future and would like to have the knife ready to go if I do decide to. Is this a good choice? Or would it just make a lot more sense to go up and get one of the larger RAT offerings or another fixed blade(would eliminate a fixed blade from this purchase)? If I do go with this, what combination should I go for as far as size / sheath?

I kind of also want to get an Victorinox Alox model, but not sure which one; so why toss money at one if I'm not sure which one to get =P

As always, I greatly appreciate any input you all may have. Have certainly helped me out a great deal since I've wandered over here. :D

I can't and won't speak towards the benchmade, but as I see it, why not get an ALOX SAK farmer (sierra trading post has them cheap right now) they're the ultimate outdoor folder. Then get a RAT Izula which could replace the RAT folder and the need for an outdoors fixed blade.

If you want to try out a traditional slip joint, AG russel has some nice ones for cheap too. "Kissing Crane" or something of the like.

EDIT: Heres a review of the RAT Izula http://woodsmonkey.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=253:bite-the-bullet&catid=34:knives&Itemid=55

Spyderco Endura/Delica or Military/Paramilitary would be my picks for you. Both available for under $150 and the E/D pair for under $70. Excellent high quality folders.

That Case Med. Stockman in CV is a great "throw it in your pocket and go" knife! Everybody should have one.

Looks to me like you dont know what you want.

Start with one...when you think you can afford it, another...and so on.

Benchmade's are like the custom's of production so I think you will be happy with the 940. For a fixed blade go with a RC-4 by Rat cutlery or BRKT bravo-1.

Mmm, looks like that to me too :\ I want to try all these different things, but am apprehensive to drop the money on them all :\ I'm just clueless I guess, damned! Why can't they just give knives away for free? :D
