  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Thinking about trading in the Bodyguard 1.0 for the 2.0

I had a Bodyguard .380 for a few days. The magazine would literally fall out. It stayed in well if it was unloaded (but what's the point in that), although with enough wiggling it would come loose. Loaded though you could jiggle it or bump it and it'd fall out, or literally just pull it out. I guess the magazine catch is plastic and could wear easily, and there's metal replacements available, but I didn't exactly have a lot of confidence in that. I think the catch also was bumping into a round preventing a secure lockup. Took it back and got an LCP 2. Right after that they came out with the LCP Max, which I planned on eventually getting, but now the Bodyguard 2.0 seems like the far better choice. Especially if the magazine doesn't fall out on its own.

I know a few here have the 2.0. I'm sure they'll be along shortly.

I can honestly say I've never had the BG1.0 lose a mag. Perhaps your mag release and/or mag were damanged? I'm sorry that happened to you, though. I can see why you'd want to get rid of that gun.

I decided to keep my 1.0, but I did get the 2.0. Just waiting on some range time and a new holster to arrive before I can carry it.
