Hello! I'm not much of a folder nut but I like it's convenience and company when I have a fixed. I have my eyes on the Spyderco Spyderhawk Salt in the 3.65" for one I do lots of outdoors activities also at the beach I'm a avid angler er and I think it'll be a great knife to have and I love the blade shape. My question for you guys is there any reason to not push the "enter" key on my key board and order it!? Do you guys have any personal pictures, or any suggestions on this knife. I never owned a Spyderco, but I love my Gerbers and Crkts is there any reason why I won't like the Spyderco! (I know the movie Training Day Denzel whoops out his Spyderco!)

yeah 2 spydie police ss models, great knives, as to the superhawk its one of my favorite blade designs as i cut rope constantly at work and in H1 steel i think that would be fantastic for you, just make sure it secure and doesnt fall off your boat if you get a little over zealous with the cutting as i know i would

Thanks, definitely since I'm on my kayak when I'm fishing I'm very possessive with lanyards!

Spydercos are my favorite. I have a Salt 1 (and many other Spydies). The Salt series are super light weight. I don't even notice that thing when I carry it.

lol actually if your in a kayak i suggest you drop it and test your flipping abilities lol

I can't think of any reason not to buy a SpyderHawk. Or two. Or three.

Actually, I have six now. Two H-1 SE, two H-1 PE and two VG-10 SE. They're great knives.

It's great for me, but I have large hands. So the knife may appear larger in person than it does in those pictures. I find the extra blade length and more pronounced curvature very useful in gardening/landscaping type work. I also prefer the serrated edge on my hawkbills.

Edit to add: I found an in-hand pic of a Merlin, which is the same size as the Tasman Salt. It may give you an idea of scale.
