thinking of carrying a small case in lieu of a karda, thoughts?

would a small or medium case stockman work in the standard sheath in lieu of the karda.? what are your thoughts on this?
the model i am thinking of is the sowbelly 7015 or the 18222 medium stockman. has anyone done this?

Haven't done this, so I tried my Mini Trapper on a sheath from Ex-Ghurka. It slipped in O.K., but it was not "snug" and if the blade was left out, it was too long all together. Guess in my opinion, I'd stay with the karda. If the karda is not to your liking, I'd ask J W to make you a new one. Just my H O.

Interesting thought. I have been looking into something similar but ended up oredering a bvcak instead as a companion..... wont exactly fit where the karda is but will make a cool companion knife for my kukri...

I've carried various swiss army knives in the karda slot from time to time. IMHO, a SAK is way more useful in an emergency than the karda. I still always bring along a good chakma though.
