Well, according to Johns mail he was headed out Saturday. Much smoke going up for him to make a safe trip.

Andy does this mean John is headed for home?!?!? Whichever I'm hoping and praying that he has a great trip and all is done in a good and gentle way.
Hopefully this will be John's last TDY anywhere over seas. Way too many of our soldier's both female and male have had to spend way too many TDY's in Iraq and Afghanistan! :(

it took me awhile to realize that he was talking about Spectre but Ken Cox just posted a letter from him (with his permission) over in the political forum. You all should check it out.
 
I just read that letter; beautifully written and a great message. I'm looking forward to Mr. Shirley getting back and a chance to get to know him better.
