Thinking of starting a small collection

I am now to the world of collecting knives I always carry a Leatherman or pocket knife, I keep a nice bush craft knife in my car and have a couple of Bayonets on the wall.
Have stumbled across a small collection but have no idea what I am looking at and finding it hard to find information on the internet.

I know they are quality knives and would look nice in a display but don’t want to pay more than they are worth.

I am in Europe so just a ball park figure would be good.

Frost Cutlery Green Beret Tak Fukuta mint still in its box.
Case Boot Hunter mint in its box with a display folder 1992
John EK Effingham PB-3W mint Boxed but hand guard is loose.
John EK Commando Bark River #2 No box but good condition.

Any information would be appreciated :)
You can't ask about value, but I can tell you too look up the knives and what people commonly pay for them online.
The frost cutlery knife is not going to be great quality ( the early stuff was decent quality compared to today's flea market knives )
So if you can inform the seller that it's a cheapo knife that you don't want and can get the other 3 for a price you're comfortable with that's all we can really tell you.

Try doing some internet or even forum searches, you should be able to find what you need to know.

how do you start out collecting?
I think you should consider what your goal is of collecting, like what is it for just to have a bunch of something, to pass something down, to appreciate in value etc. and then you can decide what to collect.

Thank you that’s a really good start (and one knife I was struggling to find anything about)
It looks a nice knife and was the cheapest of the lot.
He is willing to split them.

I like all firearms/military history etc. Appreciate in value would be good (no use in the bank) possibly to pass down but not just collect crap.

k so you can probably find collector groups on the internet or even in your town if you have specific interests, there are tons of value guides out there too. Like I say you can search for the name and see what comes up, I like to use Ebay to find the value of things since you can see completed auctions and know if something is selling and what the average price is, hopefully we've been helpful to you this is a great community so if you decide to stay consider supporting it by upgrading your membership : )

Thanks to those of you that have/would like to help. I understand its annoying new members asking prices etc but you really do have to start somewhere and this obviously isn’t the place to do it :(
I will just use Google/eBay etc to help make my decision on what to collect but I was struggling to find information on some of the knives then will try to find a friendly forum if I continue.

1) This IS the place to start.
2) This IS a friendly forum.
3) You just can't, at your membership level, ask about prices.
4) Collect what you like. Google/eBay isn't going to tell you what you like.
5) If you want an idea of what kind of knives are available, check out the The Knife Exchange here. See what individuals and dealers are selling.

I looked up this particular frost fixed blade, and it looks like a pretty decent quality knife.
It looks to me like one of their much better early Japan made knives and is probably worth having in your collection.
Everything I saw in pictures showed some excellent fit and finish, and the sheath looked good too.
