I've always admired the Becker knives, way back to the old original Companions. I don't own any, though. The only thing holding me back is the large grip. It seems to be a common problem for a lot of people. There are now even after-market micarta grips available for the Becker knives. The only problem with this is that it destroys one of the greatest things about these knives...VALUE!
I wouldn't mind paying $10-20 for a set of Becker grips made in the same stlye and material...only thinner. Surely the grips are the least expensive part of the knife and this would address the reservations of a lot of would-be buyers. ...if only they were available...
