When shopping for new knives, a couple of the things that can turn me off are thick blade stock and a whole bunch of bill-boarding on the blade. Even just a logo I don't like will occasionally prevent a sale.
I'm curious to hear from people who have removed logos (etc.) and how they did it. I'm guessing some can be removed with the right solvent but I'm guessing sanding or polishing will be required in some cases.
This got me thinking about killing two birds with one stone, literally. This obviously won't work for every blade shape, but has anyone here thinned out a flat-ground knife on their stones? I'm curious to hear about your experiences.
