This is my third knife complete.

It's 1095 with a blade length of 11" from tip to guard.
OAL is about 16 1/2"

I tried to pull out the hamon this time but I wasn't deep enough into the steel. Finish was up to 2000x with the etch cycles but I brought it back to 800x to even it out.

Guard and pommel are mild steel. The undersides of the tines in the guard are textured as is the domed end cap.

Handle is stabilized redwood burl from M.Griffin and is really nice.

Balance point rests on the ricasso.

Sheath overlays are beaver tail. I got right to the end of this sheath and blotched the front so it ended up a little darker than intended. Well it'll have to do for now..

It was an ambitious project again so early in my knifemaking and I made mistakes but I learned a whole lot. It was humbling and furthered my respect and admiration for all the talented knifemakers out there.

Thanks for looking

-Stuart

Wow Stuart you got skills, keep up the good work. Nice looking knife man!

Excellent work. Especially for your third. Looks like you did a fine job on that guard after all!

I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Stuart for two years now. It is thanks I owe to him for sparking the passion I now enjoy for knifemaking. Stu has shared with me most of the details of the planning and construction of each piece he has made so far. I have also had the pleasure of being one of the first's to hold and admire his creations.
I can say without a doubt that Stuart will soon be in the ranks of the makers and artists that Stu so fondly admires.
Congradulations on your third my brother!
Shant
