Well my RC 3 got in today along with a sharpshooter leather sheath.
Unlike my izula and my RC-4 this one is going to see alot of use in a very short period of time, ive only had it a few hours and already its one of my favorite knives. I have the RAT3 and was edcing it before i got this blade its a great opportunity to see how slight differences make a nice design so much better, and the RC-3 certainly is a much better knife the handle fills the hand and really leaves nothing to be desired the blade is just enough to get most any task done without being large enough to make it impractical for everyday use the liners give the appearance of the handle being slightly thicker and add quite a nice bit of visual flair. the linen micarta is much more attractive than the cheaper looking and feeling canvas micarta of the RAT-3 and still grippy when wet luckily there was a snowstorm last night and early this morning and my RC-3 has already gotten to play in the snow so im not just blowing smoke. The powder coat is dark and attractiveprovideing stark contrast to the bright liners, the RC-3 exudes an aura of quality that is sadly not present with ontarios offering.
The sheath system is truly amazing sturdy and dark black with a tight retention ring for my oak handled LMF firesteel. the eep adds a chemical smell that reminds me of a new car hopefully ill get many miles out of it, and if the EEP coting is as good as advertised this knife will be riding on my hip thru jrtc and possible in afghanistan
Thank you RAT cutlery for making agreat product i cant wait to go out and get it even dirtier
