Or three strikes and your out!

Hey everyone, I just thought I should post my most recent Kizer knives experience.

A little back ground first, this is my third go round with Kizer, the first two not being so positive, 1st one was a Ki 401B when they first came out a couple of years ago and had extremely gritty action and did not flip very well.

About a year later I thought I should give them a second chance, The 2nd being an early Gemini that had an almost non existent detent. I decided I was done and swore off the brand and I would never buy another Kizer.

Recently I was checking out some YT video reviews and stumbled across Nick Shabazz's review of the Kizer Ki3490 T1 and was impressed so I started to read some of the comments and noticed some viewers were commenting on getting theirs for half off.
I checked into it and found a website that was offering 50% off of certain Kizer models on the jungle website, so I thought what the hell and went ahead and placed an order for a T1.

Holy s&*t this thing is freakin' awesome, extremely smoooooth with a detent that is dialed in like nobody's business, and a lock up with not even a hint of blade play, fit and finish is right up there also along with ergo's that fit my hand perfectly, I can get a full 4 finger grip on the knife with minimal frame sticking out of the back of my medium size hand (a pet peeve of mine). Grinds are excellent, knife came very sharp with perfect centering and being pretty thin behind the edge and FFG it's an awesome slicer!

Knife came out of the box smooth but after taking it apart and cleaning it along with applying my lube of choice the thing is butter! With a drop shut action now (no small feat considering the blade is less than 3.25") this is a perfect EDC IMO. The only thing I would do to improve the knife is some internal milling to get the weight below 4 oz's (4.3 currently) while not anywhere near a pocket brick, for a smaller knife it could be a tad lighter.

At 175.00 I think the knife is a good value but at 50% off this thing is an absolute steel! (pun intended). Iv'e had customs built for me at 600.00+ that weren't as smooth and no better fit and finish.

At less than 90.00 shipped this knife is far and away THE very best value knife in my collection and I will never sell.

So long story short THIRD TIME WAS THE CHARM and I look forward to more Kizer offerings in the future that catch my eye.

I had to Google it to check it out. Not bad aesthetically.
It looks very Rexford-esque to me, but not enough where I'd call it a rip-off.

I have one kizer that I also got on sale for <$90 and it's a great knife all around, especially for the price.

I had the same experience as you with the Gemini and have not went back. Maybe I will give them a second look although I don't see any for sale for $90.00

Good stuff. Personally, I like the look of the T1.

Have been very pleased with my Guru and have a T2 inbound. Very interested to see just how good their s35vn is in a fixed blade.

In my limited experience with the brand, have found their products to be high quality and value.

I like the ones I have received......quite a bit!
