So I finally had two good days off in a row. I'm always kicking around different machax ideas finally got around to my third. Thanks to tanker for the cam bk4.
So here it is just out of the vinegar bath .25" full flat into a full convex with a micro bevel across both. It's a little sloppy, but I blame myself for useing the wrong equipment. Photos don't do the dual grind justice.
Blue handles are going away soon. I'm thinking Tommy The Who for this one.

My original idea had a beveled spine like on the bk20/29. I decided wait and see how I liked the weight and balance and then add it last if needed. Ended up adding a flat bevel over the flat grind and then I got lazy and just rounded over the section above the convex portion. It was really tedious to make it an even length along the spine.
I didn't drill and holes in the tang on this one. The balance felt right so left it as is.

Of my last two cam machax mods the first was heavier than a cincin and the second was lighter. I wanted this one to be the same weight and feel as a cincin. The blade without hardware ended up at 16.45, the cincin is 16.20 I don't want to harm the legendary status of the cincin machax, but the goal with this mod was to make a better one. Only time will tell.
