They are still some of my all time favorite illustration images I've taken, and presented in workshops, for the simplicity of using a pine knot as a baton, and for using a knife, a pine knot, and some other things to make a bow drill in the woods. With an original style FB Hunter in 5/32 O1

Is that a Duke? It's well loved !!!
No, it's an original iteration of the FBF Hunter I got in mid 2010 or so, before the flared pommel. I don't even know if the Duke was a thing yet at that time. But yeah, I carried this one quite a bit and did a few different projects with it. These are from a series of images I used to illustrate a bow drill article for a magazines I once wrote for. First time these inages have been seen on a monitor by anyone other than myself.
