.

What makes you think it might be a fake/copy?

.

Looks like one of the later crinkle coated ones to me. The box and sheath both look like every other pic I have seen so far.

Any reason to suspect it's not the real deal?

Better yet let's assume it's not the real deal and you can send it to me for proper disposal. :p

As someone who's new to Busse (only discovered it about 5 months ago), the box and sheath totally throw me off :p

I don't know, the signature is not there?

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

WHAT IS MY KNIFE / GADGET / SPATULA / TUNING FORK WORTH?!?!?!?!
In order to curtail potential abuse of membership privileges associated with the forums, questions regarding valuation of knives and collections are limited to those with a membership level which permits selling on this site. Accordingly, registered and basic members may not start or post in threads with such requests whether with the intent to sell or for informational purposes only. This rule applies throughout the site.

As I understand it from reading old posts, this is the info on the basic line:
B6 aka Euro 6 was Euro only.
B7 was everywhere.
Also, back in the day, the box and sheath were standard issue with the basic line.
Problem was that since everyone has different tastes in sheaths, some people complained about the included sheath not being what they wanted.
After that, the included sheath/fancy box was discontinued so that the cost could be lowered and the customer could get the sheath they really want without having one they do not laying around.
As a customer, that actually makes good business sense, because fancy packaging is a big overhead expense that people often overlook, for example white boxed versions of brand name computer components are usually quite a bit cheaper than the retail packaged ones.

.

It looks real. It should have "Busse Combat" molded into the handle at the front edge of the handle. There was no logo placed on the blade. The early ones had a smooth coating and the later ones had a crinkle coating. The box looks original also. I haven't followed the current price, especially now that a bunch of lengths have been made recently, kind of killed the older ones in value.

That is real as real gets nice grab.

Thanks everyone.

kurodrago,

This is a BladeForums sitewide rule, so if you have a problem with it TAKE IT UP WITH SPARK, the site owner & administrator.
Too many Registered Users & Basic Members have abused this type of question to try and sell knives & gear without the proper membership, which caused this rule to be created.
BTW, please can ya stop to READ THE RULES so I don't have to edit your posts, and as for the kiss ass comment, I will remember to be less kind the next time...
