This BK16 is a stripper....

Well, after some thought, I decided to just strip completely my BK16 and BK7. This is what I got after 6 hours of soaking, scraping, washing, and lightly sanding. I will say that the new coating on the BK16 was a PAIN to get off compared to the 7. The coating on the 7 reminds me of the old busse knives: soat it in stripper and the coating almost just falls off.

I love that stone washed look! It looks like the begining stage of a good patina.

FWIW, Klean strips premium sprayable stripper makes the new coating fall off in about 30 minutes or less... I have used it on 3 Beckers with the new coating and it works great, just some info for when you buy your next piece of steel and demand that it takes its clothes off!
