This blade as an EDC?

Thinking about my reasons for disliking a SAK, the secondary blade is something like this.
get.php
, most, if not all SAKs these days have just a short whittling blade rather than the curved one, which I find preferable. If a short, curved blade like that was all you had, do you think it would cut it for most purposes?

Nothing wrong with a hawkbill blade they cut very well. I wouldn't do a fixed blade with that short of a blade as an EDC but a folder sure. Spyderco had a sprint run of their ladybug with a hawkbill. but now i think their smallest hawkbill is the tasman salt or byrd crossbill.

what's great about a hawkbill blade is they do a lot of the work for you because of the shape of the blade but they are only good for draw cuts.

Rope or carpet cutting.... things where the blade shape pulling the object into the cut. MOF, I just used my Spyderco Spyderhawk to rip up our carpeting. It was the only cool thing about the whole task. ;)
