This Bugout recently survived a trip through the washer & dryer in the pocket of my pants, so I thought I'd take it apart and do a clean & lube.
I also took the opportunity to do a scale swap to the Flytanium Titanium...I probably won't keep it this way, I didn't plan ahead and the thumb studs and other hardware don't look quite right with the titanium.
To be honest the hardware, mainly the thumb studs, lost a little of the brass color in the wash so I do wonder about the finish of those pieces.
The only other damage to the knife is right at the tip the blade took a scratch from rubbing against the inside of the brass carry clip insert, I'm guessing while bouncing around in the dryer.
This is the Chromium Nitride blade, not the cerakote, thankfully. I'm not sure, but I don't think the cerakote would have fared as well.

I was super bummed when I discovered it in the dryer, but I'm slowly recovering...

Anyhow:

The thumb studs do look a bit out of place, but it's still a great looking knife. I dig the TI scales.

I've washed and dried plenty of knives and flashlights. It probably happens enough that someone on YouTube should wash and dry edc gear as part of the review process.

Glad to see that it handled the bath-water and blow-dry so well! 👍

Honestly. That's how I clean my Bugout. In the sink with Dawn dish soap. Hasn't hurt mine yet. Mine sports the Flytanium G10. Love the Bugout.

It wasn't the water and soap I was worried about - it was the 45 minutes tumbling in the dryer!

Everything is fine tho, it's a tough little knife and my Bugouts are among my favorites for sure.

Had it flipped open in the dryer (Unlikely); you would have been left with a nice pile of cleaning rags...
