well this is a 1979 case that has seen better days,
looks like it has been at the bottom of the sea,:o
but i cleaned it up , washed and oiled it , and its tight solid and walking and talking, and sharp too.
so the ? is .,.,.,is this cool or just a bin job .

Sharp enough to cut?
If yes, cool to me!

But the nail nicks dont seem to be safe tho, becareful with it.

its got alot of character... ive seen worse:thumbup: now ya need to carry it
cool knife!

It really does have a hell of a lot of character, but if it's perfectly functional, you might as well carry it.

Now, you have to make up a story about how it got that way for when someone asks.

Sharpen it to get the nicks out of the edges and slip it in your pocket

I say carry it. Its rough as 20 miles of bad road, no doubt about it, but its still got blades, can still cut, so use the heck out of it.

I think its very cool to resurrect a knife so far gone to using status again.

With all the neglect that knife has seen, it deserves to be carried and used...

It's very cool if you carry and use it. Not too cool as a collection piece, sorry.

My vote is for "cool" too. I'd just sharpen it more and maybe use a pin to scrape out any active rust from the nail nicks. It could be a very good user! :)

She is very !!

If'n it was me though, Id take a series of whet sand paper stacks and some mineral oil and starting at around 200-300 grit gently and gradually work my way up to 2000-3000 grit by hand,(no machines) one blade at a time while you are watching TV or the like.. Take your sweeeeet time and do it right. Careful not to sand to deep.

Best,

Anthony
