  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I bought it knowing it was marked Kelly Axe & Tool Co
Charleston WVA U.S.A.

HAND 💪 Forged

But when I received the axe I saw a large 5 dead center in the cheek on the opposite side as well as the stamp B&T co⚓ Below the poll. The axe weighs 3lb 10oz and has a 3 stamped under the eye. Not sure on the 5? The B&T co i think is Bronson & Townsend Hardware Company out of New Haven CT. Maybe Kelly made their axes.

Sure it doesn’t say j p kelly Vulcan axe co.That’s a rare one I do believe.
Very well could be. The top line is hard to make out and I haven’t studied it much. Thanks for the heads up. I’ve never seen one with the hand forged except on yesteryears.

Upon further review the stamp is

Kelly AXE & MFG Co.
Charleston WVA U.S.A.
HAND 💪 FORGED

I've seen several kelly true temper axes that also have hardware store stamps. one common one is McClung Hardware Tennessee

looks like postimage is down right now so I can't look at your images

Interesting the three under the poll. Maybe one of the first Kelly's out of Charleston?
