Ever have a day like that?
It's definitely a 'Busse' day, but not just for knives.
First, I had a really nice, easy day at work. Fixed a few folks PC's, did a little data recovery and enjoyed several good coffees while chatting with the assorted eye-candy in the teachers' staff room.
Second, I've got a replacement Spec-Ops sheath awaiting customs clearance. They wanted to charge me as if it was a new item but thanks to the great people at Spec-Ops I can get the charge canceled now.
Third, I get home to find that my new (as of two days ago) internet connection has just gone up to 6Mbps speed. Not much maybe to many in the US, but we in the UK are still in the dark ages so 6Mbps is quite good.
Fourth, I had an email from my new ISP granting me a block of eight IP addresses (free of charge) so I can get my servers back up now. I didn't think they would let me have them (got refused at first) so I was well chuffed.
Fifth, there's a parcel awaiting collection at my sorting office that I can collect tomorrow. It's almost certainly several more Spec-Ops sheaths. Which is really good timing because...
Sixth, I've got two ASH1-LE's!!!
They are absolute beauties!
I maybe shouldn't admit this, but I was going to pass on the ASH1 altogether. I just didn't see a 'need' for it. It was only the offer of the HOG edition that made me take the plunge.
I am so glad that I did! It's a terrific knife: fits my hand perfectly, nice balance, gorgeous lines, and matches my Culties.
P.s. If I'm not around for a few days, it's because I've stuffed up the settings on my router for my new IP block.
