this evening on his way to cambridge phillip and his parents stopped by for a visit. i was grinding another blade out back when he arrived so i went out to greet him (with blade in hand, lol). after going inside and checking out some of my collection we went outside and i showed phillip how i grind my blades.
we then went to the garage and cut up some tiger maple and the elk rack that i have. he now has a piece large enough to make a sword handle and a few bowie's. he also has a decent supply of 1075 along with enough maple to do him for a while. then we went inside after loading up everything and phillip brought out his knives. for someone phillips age and talent i think he is going to be busy for quite a few deckades making knives.
i dont think anyone can go wrong with one of his knives and they would make exellent collector pieces. i couldnt choose a favorite since i liked them all. thanks phillip for stopping by and it was nice to meet you and your parents. dad told me to tell you to stop by anytime.
