for my wallet!! haha. hey everybody, this is my first post here, but i've been lurking around for a while now. i think it only took a couple of visits here to get me hooked on knives and the art of sharpening. the same addiction thing happened to me when i visited candlepowerforums. within a matter of a week i've purchased an edgepro apex, spyderco sharpmaker, leather strop, spyderco jester, and sog crosscut. that's just the beginning too. i'm planning on picking up a spyderco native, benchmade mini-grip, and hopefully i can get my hands on that new delica w/ zdp189 steel. my wallet is hurting right now, but i think it'll all be worth it when i receive my goodies. well, just wanted to say that this is an awesome forum and most everyone here is cool and very knowledgeable. hope to learn much more from all of you! aloha!
 
Welcome to the club. Do a search, there's plenty of threads decrying the fact that there is no knife knuts anonymous for help in overcoming the addiction.
 
Welcome. It only gets worse. I just bought 6 production knives in the last 2-3 months and thought that would "de-knife" my addiction.

Well, I just bought a custom and a seb and successfully laid out the most money for knives that I ever have at one time, so I guess I'm full of my own BS. LOL - Enjoy it while your wallet lets you.

Yeah Howdy, do I know just what you are talking about. I am waiting on an order for 2 Randalls due to come my way in 2008 and that's going to hit me big time @ $630.
Hell, what better way to spend your money then on cool knives.

I have 2 DDR's on order, and that comes to a little over $1,000. And Rick Hinderer is going to make me a knife as well. And I have an order for a Scott Cook Lochsa; but that is a 2 year wait!!
 
Place is positively awful. I'm sure I've dropped a grand since I've been here ... and now I'm looking for a Reeves Mnandi.

Favorite things I've bought since hangin' here: Sypderco Kopa, Sharpmaker and extra stones, Cabelas D2 mini, and 4 of the KaBar folding hunters (for carry, glovebox, friends).
 
To avoid excessive purchases I proposed a rule: Don't buy knife that u cant use!
and since I've found that too much knives may come handy!
 
Uhm definitely.. I've ordered a knife and i really want to go rush out and get a spyderco right now =( help!

I might have to sell some of my older knives. I'm gettin poor.

+1 We're in about the exact same situation. I say I'm done, but just spent $350 on another custom last week. :o
 
I shudder to think of the amount that I have spent on knives this year alone!! YIKES!
 
If you hang around here you will find your knife drawer getting more full and your bank account getting more empty. Don't say you haven't been warned.
