In the last 3 days I have made 5! knife purchases on ebay and amazon. This place is only fueling the fire.:grumpy: I did get some good deals though.:D Now I just have to wait for all the wonderful packages to arrive. :)

So here is what I got:
Ontario Rat 1 in desert tan with black blade
Ontario Rat 1 in coyote brown with satin blade
CRKT Desert cruiser Operation Iraqi Freedom version
Kershaw Blur Tanto (a factory blemish, only $35.00 shipped!)
CRKT Stubby Folding Razel

I know "worthless without picks" they are all still in transit.

I think I will be bankrupt if I hang around here too much!;)

You're not the only one.

I've owned a few lower end knives in my life along with a couple multitools then i registered here.... Now in a matter of a few months i've got a collection of 20+ Scrap Yard, Swamp Rat, Kershaw, ESEE, ZT, Becker, Victorinox, and customs.

Welcome to knives in the fast lane. The Blade Forums is like the super charger for the knife enthusiast. :D

I have owned many knives in my life, but no customs so far. I have some good quality pieces, but I find it hard to pass up the ebay bargains on decent mid level stuff. I like the Ontario Rat and Ranger lines, but find myself lusting after some Esee's, Scrap Yard, etc. I am addicted to low cost folders though. Hence the above purchases.

Ironically it's the good advise on what's best to get and do that makes this forum dangerous.
Eventually it's a constant repetition of one more knife, as you find more knives that suit you and work well for you :D

Most of us on this forum are not professionals but we can still help you to spend your money.

If you really want professional help then go to the custom knife makers sale area and there are lots of professionals there that will sell you something.

Your not helping at all. LOL :D

Customs are nice because you have to wait for them. I'm currently waiting on a Direware S90 (7 mo out) and a Jason Stout Kleever (a few weeks out). In the meantime I've picked up an 0560 to tide me over. Got a Rodent 4 on its way to me as well.

Well if you want to try out some other things like the ZT or Spyderco line or something, I think I can help you out there. I am just a mouse-click away ;)

If you are anything like me, the ZT and Rat will not be enough to tide you over. You will end up with an entire drawer full of new knives by the time your customs arive.;)

If now one has said it yet, welcome to Bladeforums.

Nice little starter group you have picked.
Kershaw has a number or reasonably priced knives, and most are excellent.
You need to throw a Spyderco in there some place (or possibly their less expensive Byrd line...Cara Cara 2 maybe).

My name is Aquaman and I'm a knifeoholic.

There is a reason AA does not hold its meetings in a bar. :D

I just got the 0560 and honestly...I might not need anything else. It's a liiitle larger than I would prefer (3.5" blade would be ideal for me) but other than that it's basically perfect.

This is not a starer set, just a continuation of the sicknes. And your not helping with your buy a Spyderco talk! LOL

Oh, ok, my mistake.
You mean you have others and still no Spydie? tsk tsk

Not helping? You expect knife junkies to talk you out of a buying knives? :D

More seriously (and this really won't "help" either) there are way worse things you could be blowing money on.

Too late. You're doomed.

Oh yeah, he's pretty much hooked. ;)
