So I have this 6 or 7 years old Gerbre gator (haha, don't laugh), which was decently sharp when I first got it. But over the years it get duller and duller, and I could never get it back to sharp again, no matter how I sharpen it.
Then I found bladeforum, searched for sharpening method. After hours of reading, I went out and bought a $15 sharpening stone from home depot, and a $1 1500 grit wet sand paper. After half an hour or so freehand sharpening, it's back to hair shaving and paper slicing again. Screw those expensive sharpening systems, my $20 free hand system works just as well.
Here's a pic of the one I have, not in production anymore. You'll notice the tooth are chipped but I more or less got them back with a dremel and chainsaw sharpening stone.
