But when is a becker folder coming out ? I EDC my 14 in my pocket , and my 17 in my pack , but I'd really like a becker style folder

Idk but I'll take 2 when they do. I've got a couple of Kabar folders and they're both solid little edc's when I can't carry my 24.

There's Ka-Bar folders but when a Becker folder comes out...depending on the steel my wallet might be in trouble..
A 1095, S30V, CPM154CM, 154CM, Becker folder and my wallet will be in hiding!

There's been a proto, Moose has it, but I believe the cost was too high to produce.

Not a million times but quite a few. There was even a prototype. Cost was the main issue, would have been over $300 retail IIRC. Do a search and read all about it if you'd like.

We see those prices on ZeroTolerance and Benchmade Golds, I feel like there could be a tier system with materials used.
Don't get me wrong, ZT and BM make phenomenal knives their prices reflect it!

Here's the little known BK3000 multi-tool proto that DerekH came up with. Only one of it's kind I believe. Surprised it didn't sell:

That bk2 folder looks joy . As for the proto , I'd pay $300 for that . I do have a plain edge tanto blade mule folder in storage though , I might just dig that out. I have a benchmade mini grip in there too

The thing is, Becker knives are supposed to be high-value but still within reach of the masses. The folks involved felt that a folder that costs that much wasn't in line with what Becker knives are supposed to be, or Ka-Bar in general for that matter. Also, $300 was a low estimate on what it might end up having to sell for and it sounded like it could have easily been much higher than that.

$300+ is way beyond my budget for a folding knife, even a Becker. Darn, just going to have to keep buying more fixed blade Beckers.

Jesus how terrifying.
Imagine some braking into your house and you whip out that thing!

I understand, I just wish it was a option.
I know they would never cheap out on materials and quality.
That's why I love Becker and ESEE.
