This helped my sticky frame lock.

So I tried the sharpy trick (sharpy on the parts where metal touches metal) and it was great for about a day, but then I had to reapply it and I found myself doing it almost daily. I was trying to think what else I could use when I remembered an old skateboarding trick. Putting a little bit of shaved soap in between the frame lock and the lock face and opening it and closing it a few times seems to work wonders. Pictures incoming, my internet is capped so I'll upload them in about 20 minutes :(.

We got it easy here in the states. You pay by SPEED of the Bandwidth you use, not how MUCH bandwidth you consume.
The communications companies get a larger slice of the pie in other countries, like Canada.

It kills their economy. Imagine if you had to pay for internet usage like you do for sending each text message.
Who would want a Smartphone? It would cost you extra just to check your e-mail or shop online.

At least that is how I understand it to be.
Im in Texas, but my brother is thinking about taking a job in Canada. That's the way they do things up there.

BTW, interesting trick with the soap. Kind of like a dry lube.
Personally I prefer a light oil and just to open and close it a BUNCH when I first get it.
If you don't start developing calluses due to flicking it, you aren't doing it enough.

Australia. or Balistol

Australia is correct.

Hah, I'm sure the skin on my right thumb is 20x thicker.
Also, in Australia you can buy pre-paid phones or a phone on a "plan" (normally 24 month plans.) pre-paid you can buy like $30 worth of credit and if you don't use it in a month it disappears and you only get $30 worth of credit for texting. The plans are about $66 for a Galaxy/iPhone with about 300 hours of talk time, unlimited texting, 1.5gb of data (for 3g or 4g) and the phone itself.
Don't get me started on the price of knives. Here's a quick rundown.
Sebenza - $600+
Spyderco Delica - $120+
Zero Tolerance 560 - $500+
ZT350 - $380+
Gah. Can't wait till I'm older and I can move to America. Australia really bores me and living here is expensive.

You can use soap or wax.
I used to skate nearly every day and we used soap or some kind of wax to make the rails and such smoother that way the board or trucks didn't get stuck. I would suggest wax as it doesn't leave as much residue as soap. Neat idea though, I never thought of applying that trick to knives. Then again, I've never really had an issue with sticky locks.

Oil, sharpie, or graphite are the most common forms of trying to take care of a sticky lock, and they work, but it's always nice to have some other ideas.

Longboarders always put a few soap shavings in the pivot cup to stop the squeak. I couldn't find my sharpie and had a bag of soap next to me so I figured I'd give it a shot. Yeah, wax would be better, probably harder to apply though aha. I'm hoping it doesn't come back to bite me by making it even stickier. :S
