Thanks, been using it this way for years and it works great. Thanks toNice setup!
The mess stays surprisingly contained the way I have it set up. And I use kool mist 77 in the water so I don't have any issuesJust looking at that video make me feel like dashing out to my shop and slather all my tools with rust inhibitors!![]()
Ya you are missing outJeepers I have to up my wet grinding game. Thing looks like a full on water park
Yeah, I mainly use it for rough grinding (for speed) and switch to freehand to finish up and get everything how I want it.I have the Moen jig as well and really like it. About the only downside is that it's difficult to get the "swoop" near the tip unless you have a significant angle in the blade.
I put a single towel at my feet where a little bit hits my vinyl apron and runs down to the floor but that's it. I have 'mud flaps' at the correct locations (above drive and tracking wheels) which captures 99% of the water. That is a great looking setup.
Does water not get everywhere though? I find even with my bucket under my ginger that I donk into, if I'm grindingnfor a few hours that the floor is soaked at the end. I can't help but think that both me and my shop would end up sodden![]()

Here you go. You can see a little spray that comes off the front which is what hits my vinyl apron and drips onto the towel at my feet. This is after I've been grinding for several hours like this today. If I was going at half or lower speed I would only use misters probably.I'd love to see a bit more of your setup, and how you contain the water.
No my shop is climate controlled... I keep it 70f in the winterSomething is going to reach back out of that morass and grab you some day, Josh...
Nice setup, though. It's gotta be such a huge benefit staying cool-to-cold. Have you considered a heater in your fluid bucket for a warmer experience in winter?
