This is a new one to me. Cemented tungsten carbide?

Just stumbled across this video on my nightly YouTube wandering. Seems like really interesting stuff. I know companies have done tungsten blades before, but this appears to be some kind of particle metallurgy version of it. Anyone have any experience with it? It's not cheap, but I'm tempted to order their petty knife.

Particle metallurgy version? Nah, same technology as what's been on the market.

Cobalt binder packed to the brim with tungsten carbide particles. No heat treatment. The tuning of properties comes from the ratio binder, carbide volume and size selected from R&D.

It is an exceptionally obstinate material so to their credit, it is quite an achievement to manufacturer a working product with it.

Should be thought of more like a ceramic knife.

Let us know what you think.
