I would not mind watching all those lean female bodies if the girls were not so young it creeps me out ;)

Hey, what about lawn bowls and synchronized swimming? The olympics has really grown into a monster - whats next? Scabble, Tic Tac Toe and Monopoly?

Dude,
I was a half-pipe skateboarder when I was a teenager ( I still skate from time to time)
I had a lot of friends who were actually athletes.
And yet, half pipe and freestyle skateboarding, something done all over the world, is still not an olympic sport.

Screw em, dude.
I appreciate the soft-core porn aspect of it all, but the rest is pretense.

The way they have been hyping poker lately, I expect it will be the next "sport" incorporated in the Olympics...

I watched the ribbon twirlers this morning on tv while I was eating breakfast. It was a beautiful combination of dance and gymnastics. A sport? I don't know. Most sport seems based on warfare, or the physical attributes necessary to prosecute war. Which I don't mind. :) But this was beautiful, and athletic and cool. Just my $.02. :D

Kinda depends on your definition, doesn't it?? I feel the same way about basketball and hocky. ;)

It is sport. There was a group of girls who did this kind of gymnastics in a sports club of my hometown. They did running, streching and even some weighlifting to be able to compete. When there was a 20 km run to a Czech partner-city near my hometown I think all of them finished quite a bit under 2 hrs - that is not too bad.

Danny just imagine how hard you would have to train to look like that :) It is most sports that only is performed well if it looks easier than it is...

Practitioners of this artform/sport are in extremely good physical condition, and like Pan Tau says, being so makes doing something very difficult appear to the viewer as being easy to do. Well conditioned bodies are always a pleasure to observe, with or without the sexual connotations... ;)

y'all are pretty dang hilarious....(cleaning spewed water off the screen)....LOL!! :D
