I have done a LOT of looking back here...... that is not always a bad thing
*Big knife VS hatchet.

*What is the best survival knife.

*Best woodsman knife.

*What "one" would you want to have with you.

My guess would be it would totally depend on the person, where they were, and how well they knew their chosen tools.

End resuld.......... look to the ones that survived (I will just use one of many).

GRANTED his chosen tool didn't save him...... his WILL did.

I'm a huge proponent of gear....... however not the "end all be all" of US living in a bad situation. My .02 :)

GRANTED his chosen tool didn't save him...... his WILL did.

I've come to this line of thinking over time. I've also come to terms with the fact that most tools have an optimum place somewhere or in some situation and coming up with one tool that is the best for everything is pretty hopeless. In fact rather than getting too cozy with a favorite tool, I think its fun to try and learn to use proper technique with different types tools and compare them across different situations.

Technique and will are both very important, clearly... but even he says that he wished he had a better tool.

There's nothing wrong with hunting the right knife.
