Just got the email

Another tomahawk, the Rattle Hawk!!

Cutting Edge Length:
Over 14 1/4" of Combined Cutting Edge!

Head Width: 3 1/2"
Spike Length: 3 1/2"
Overall Length: 17"
Steel: SR101 58-60Rc
Blade Finish Options: Black or Desert Sage
Handle Options: Black Canvas or Tan Canvas

$298 - seriously considering!

I like the blade profile.
 
Wow, it looks like the entire head is edged! that thing might just fly!

edited: i just realized that this has been around, wonder why i've never seen it. That upper edge i just what i like about it.

guess i'm still barely a piglet... hey, what do you call a beginner Rat?

Got that email. Think i might want to get in on this. Maybe it'll satisfy my itch for an RMJ...

Not a huge fan of Canvas Micarta, but at least it's not black paper :eek::foot::D

The entire edge is "sharpened", but the top of the hatchet is not sharp. You can sharpen it, but it came more like a scraping edge than a razor blade by a huge margin.
 
Mr. Brown......is that G-10 for handle material ? I was dreaming of a black blade and orange/black g-10......not canvas....
 
It is as the others have said a angle more than an edge, I am sure it would stick if thrown hard enough.

This was a Hawk sold at Blade Show in Atlanta, Black and OD G-10.
One of the reasons I go every year, I can buy cool stuff right from Busse, it is worth the trip.

The very top is not sharp enough to "cut". I pulled a sheet of printer paper over it and it didn't even bite. The head and spike are sharpened as you would expect.

Hey, he gets to make sheaths and play with Busse's for a living, while i'm stuck in an office cubicle.

He is out there doing stuff a lot more fun than my paltry job, I respect that immensely and will continue to call him "Mr. Brown"

Honestly, I am itching for one of these so bad, that I have been eying my INFI, trying to decide what to sacrifice!

It will be like Abraham offering Isac up on the altar..........but it might just be worth it!
