Assuming your suggested course of action was sarcastic, I will simply say. We are here to help anyway we can. Why anyone would think that the outcome of of a personal buying decision is somehow the role or responsibilty of another is both beyond me and smacks of the entitlement philosophy of today.
I have simply requested that such requests, debates, questions etc be addressed in private due to several factors.
"Fakes" are a sensitive topic to ANYONE who has invested time, treasure, sweat, blood and sacrifice into actually creating something.
This is/has been a topic addressed in every imagineable way and simply becuase everytime someone decides to spring in and post a pic or a video or a link or whatever asking "Hey is this a Fake" doesn't mean the requests don't get old thus the sticky.
I just wasted too much of my time (doing what I said I wouldn't do) and perused the waste of 14 pages in GD and will not engage in an exercise of forum masturbation here. Fakes are a private matter to be addressed via PM or email, if the Mod or Rick or Rob choose to take the time to resond then so be it. The request is a Gentlemanly one and one made by me in a Gentlemanly manner out of respect for Rick and Rob.
A lttle work/Homework will result in accurate answers if invested by the individual contemplating the purchase - it is EASY to just post the pic and the question and let someone else do all the work.
Hopefully this enough of a satisfactory explaination and not simply viewed as an entre' to the above referenced exercise.
Fair enough. Just want to make sure people don't think they're buying the real thing when they're not. Unless folks buy XMs directly from the factory or from an authorized reseller, maybe the best rule of thumb would be to pass every potential XM purchase by a Mod BEFORE making the purchase. That would be the only way to be absolutely sure, correct?
