This may be far out but for Splinter cell chaos theory and splinter cell double agent, what knives are used in those two games?

lol, I love the knife Sam Fisher uses in the Splinter Cell Games. To me the knife looks very similar to the SOG Pentagon and Mini Pentagon knives.

Havent played those two yet, but as a gamer myself......using any small handweapon in a PC game is "cool". Especially in MP.

Cool pic.....Now I have no idea what knife it'd be lol. Definitely not a run of the mill dagger. The knife is probably at least 9.5" long IRL.

I remember pics for other games in series -- dagger there lookes suspiciously close to Gerber Guardian Backup with enlonged blade. Could not recall, if Gerber really made something similar...

The first images screamed SOG Pentagon, especially the ad where Sam was hanging upside down from the pipe. If you look at some gameplay images for Double agent (or the gameplay demo in the daylight desert town), he's got some asymmetrical designed handle on a fixed blad in a horizontal sheath located in the small of his back, not like the dagger. Almost looks like a fixed version of a MT Amphibian to me.

Gerber Guardian Back Up is what Wikipedia suggested for the definition of Sam Fisher, under his weapons.

It certainly looks to me like the Gerber Guardian was the inspiration for this knife design, even if it isn't the same size.

MOD of some sort is what that looks like to me. The FB is probably based on the Guardian like y'all said. Good thread BTW; perhaps we should make this a video game knife thread and try to figure what all the knives in games are. Just a thought...

I agree...I kinda wanna know what Naked Snake uses in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

The one from Double Agent (Splinter Cell) looks like a modified MOD ATFK

One of the knives Snake had was a USAF Survival knife. I'm guessin that the one on his LBV was a custom of some sort; though I can't figure out it it's drop point or tanto. It looks kind of like a long bladed Strider.

Out of curiosity, the guardian backups they have nowadays, are they still good knives or has the quality gone down like a lot of the other gerber knives?

I don't know, but i've wanted to pick up a gerber guardian a few times now. As far as I know snakes knife on his leg is a camillus pilots knife. His knife on his shoulder strap looks kinda like a coldsteel true flight thrower.
