Easy to make.

Easy to work.

If you make it yourself you can use any number of materials.

Wide color choice.

Seems to be pretty obvious that Micarta would be a great handle material.

I can't wait till mine falls off.

If you wanted, you could even BUILD the grip onto the khukuri tang itsself.

Wrap the resin soaked fabric around the tang till its built up pretty good.

Clamp the hell out of it.

Shape it when its dry.

What do you all think?

I should try it using OD green, Forest Green, and Brown. Twist style for a random pattern.

If you steel this Idea.... You owe me a grip!
 
There are a couple of recent threads on micarta grips/handles in the Cantina. :confused:

I think so. Some interesting handle materials have been tried here in the past.

IIRC, Jeb Smith and Khukuri Monster did an ice handle some time back. That was perhaps a bit too interesting.
