This is the third style (and the third knife) I have completed. I was totally pleased that I fit the front and rear bolsters and the scales so tightly. Here are some more details:

*3 1/2 inch ATS-34 blade
*7 1/4 inches overall length
*416 stainless bolsters and pins
*mammoth ivory scales
*hand rubbed satin finish on the blade and bolsters

That is a very nice looking knife!!! I'm still working on my first but i'll be lucky indeed if my third knife is half as good as yours

Gorgeous knife!!!!
When you're putting the bolsters and handles on the blade, do you put the front bolsters on first, then the handles, and then the rear bolsters?? Makes it alot easier to get them nice and tight. Sure will look forward to seeing your 4th knife!!! Take care! Michael

Always think of your fellow knife makers as partners in the search for the perfect blade, not as people trying to compete with you and your work!

Dogman, Why must you continue to make me drool? It has been getting messy at the keyboard.
Gorgeous work, Keep it up!

Thanks, Guys.

I went front bolster, scales, rear bolster. I was kind of mad about the dots on the ivory. They looked very blue initially, but wound up brown after they were finished. I am happy to say that, although I have about 10-12 orders, this was my very first sale. Hopefully more to come.

This is a very, very nice knife. Just remember later on when you have a few under your belt how much pain-staking time you would spend on your first knives getting everything just "right". Quite a few of us tend to forget that over time.
