Sorry folks and I know this is not the place to ask, but I don't know where else to look....
I'm gryphon46...I'd like to know what's really going on in Iraq.....I know Greg's been there, I know (hope) I passed some tools on to the folks that need them in Iraq or Afghanistan....and I look at the regular and cable news and I guess I'm to thick to figure it out, but from the grunts point of view.where do I go to find out what's really happening?
Sorry, I know this is not the place to post, but I just don't know anywhere else to ask, and I figgered you folks would understand and point me in the right direction....
Sorry and thanks....
Steve

I can forward messages from my buddies to you if you would like. I'd need your email.

Mine is: crowinghorse@yahoo.com

I get about 2 or 3 a week if they get access to computer. My old unit is in Fallujia and having a heck of a time with the folks there (as is evident by the news coverage on TV!)

one thing that blows my mind is the amount of NEGATIVITY on the TV about Iraq. I think it is sad that our media feels it must sell the "evil" of war. If you are wise, you realize war is ALWAYS evil, but the end result, hopefully, is good...

just my .02 worth.

Sarn't Horse,
Thanks for your offer...but I agree, I'm surprised at how negative the media is. While I am so upset at the deaths of our folks and possibly your friends in Iraq, I can't find any information about the fresher water, the food, the schools, the hospitals that have been built or what good stuff we are supposed to be doing over there....I mean I can get some information but you have to look really hard....
I guess I have a history with ATC and I 'd like to think I have a history with you....I don't post an e-mail address because of both. I'd like to think I have some tools out wheer it does the most good. I'd like you to think that while you were in the sandbox, you got to think someone was thinking about you and doing something to give you guys an edge....I hope the folks over there do....if you get your news from tv, I guess now that the initial stuff is over, they don't. You went over in the first wave I guess. The folks that will deploy next month will have to bear the 'abuse' of the prisonerson there shoulders (sorry, but embarassing the terrorists doesn't compare to the treatment our POW's got in the Hanoi Hilton'...but thats just me)....
So anyway, thanks for your offer....I was just looking for a website to find out where to get the straight skinny for the masses ..guess no one else cares....

PS
How was the pig hunt?

There has even been rumors in talk radio, that the media(allies of Kerry) is PAYING locals to commit terrorist attacks.

If that can be confirmed by any homebound soldier, That can cause a scandal greater than Abu Grav, ,or Nick Berg

I don't think the press is paying terrorists, but who knows...

Pig hunt went well. I bagged a 130 lb boar and my dad got a 150 lb boar. He had to shoot his four times with a .45. I just snuck up to mine and poked him with my axe...
pig bled out in about five seconds. dead as a door nail.

thanks again for your support gryphon46. It is because of people like you that the men and women over there are able to do their jobs.

God bless...
