Wife just called, "you have a package here from a Mr. XXXXX."

hmmmm.....Greco Club Companion is HERE!

I won't be home for three hours....:(

good things come to those who wait I guess....

I hate it when that happens... I'll call my wife and she'll tell me there's a package there for me and it just drives me nuts sometimes! I was in that same situation just yesterday - 4 hours of work to go, with a minty new knife waiting for me. AAARGH!

Kinda makes me feel silly for getting so impatient though... there are some guys out there waiting years for customs.

No what's worse is when you get the delivery attempt slip cause you're
not there, so you go to the post office to pick it up fifteen minutes
before they close and you find out the mailman still hasn't finished
his route yet so you have to pick it up the next day. That sucks!!

Even more painfull:

- Having ordered the Zero Tolerance 3 knife set August 2001.
- Patiently waiting until February 2002.
- The knives arriving in San Diego just 2 days after colleague flew
to our office in the Netherlands.
- No colleague visiting us after that time
- Mailing the knives could lead to 30+% import tax :( and high costs
- only able to see them on a webcam picture send by friendly (grrhhh)
colleague and not able to touch them.

I would have liked to receive a message from my wife that said, "the mailman tried to deliver 'your' knives but I was not home so you need to pick them up tomorrow at the mail office, I would have jumped sky high from joy.

My votes with Bravado I've had that happen several times already, if If was in Holland again, I'd find a way to ease my pain.:D

Haha! I feel ya, buddy! I'm at work right now trying desperately to pass several hours until I can go home and tear open the box containing my new Extrema Ratio!!! I'll post a review ASAP!!!
This is murder!

How about getting home yesterday to find a chit in the mailbox saying I have a package at the post office: Darrel Ralph Prototype!

"Ok. The post office is already closed. I'll pick it up tomorrow morning. I can get by the post office between about 11 and noon."

Then, this morning, when I fought traffic to get to the Post Office, they informed me that as a favor they'd sent it out with the carrier again this morning to try again since I'm often home (aren't small towns nice?). The carrier will return to the office about 3pm. But, I won't get back home until late this evening and I can't even get back to the post office after 3pm but before 5pm when they close. They're not open on Saturday (aren't small towns nice?).

So, I have to wait until Monday!

How about this one: was sent a cuda maxx via priority mail.Tracking # records it as being rec'd in Santa Fe Mon. 3a.m. Never rec'd it. Wed,. was told it was lost, nothing I can do.Thurs-package was foud and it will be delivered Fri(today). Mail was delivered-no package. Called postmaster,he was supposed to get package, but a supervisor was lazy, left package on loading dock and now package is on the way to Albuquerque.Postmaster told me they are informed about it and that it will be reshipped to Santa Fe Sat.a.m. Isn't the Post Office wonderful.I will never, ever use the post office for anything ever again

Boys, boys, boys. Absolutely nothing beats FedEx to the office. No pickup slips, missed deliveries or trips to the PO. Just my knife 2 hrs. earlier than when I would get home and the joy of a new toy for the rest of the afternoon and the trip home  Does suck when it is a large Fighter or Bowie though, hard to play with those and not raise an eyebrow :(

Bagheera, my sympathies you poor, poor man

I made it to the post office tonight with minutes to spare. No problem.

Hey Bagheera - that really sucks, man. Those are some darned nice knives to be waiting on.

Hi Antdog,

Yep it's painfull, even more because I just heard a colleague is flying to the UK next week but is apprehensive of taking the knives or even one knife with him.
From the UK to the Netherlands is a short distance and cheap and inside the EU so once inside the UK there's no customs officer anymore to get concerned about.
We'll see I'm still working on my colleague.

I need to provide him with some info that taking these knives inside his suitcase that goes into the planes cargo hold is not prohibitted, he's afraid to get 'scenes' at the airport when they Xray the suitcase and see some of Jerry's Nuclear steel taking up space between his long john's ;)

Best Scouting wishes from Holland,

Bagheera
