I kindof always figured you for a cat person since you show so much love for the DOGS at the trough :D :rolleyes:

Growing up my dad shot his sister, my aunt's, cat. He swore he was rabbit hunting:D

I don't take cat jokes too seriously. If you've ever talked to someone who had to deal with a cat infestation it opens up a whole new world.
 
I have to agree with Jaxx on this one; we love our four cats...and three dogs as well!;):thumbup: Sadly, here in rural Missouri many folks can't afford to have cats neutered so just dump them along the road--oftentimes the county line, such as where I live.:mad: Many fall prey to coyotes or dogs that were dumped.:mad::thumbdn:

That's not the point and most jokes don't bother me. However, I donate cash to local no kill and adoption shelters with neuter/spay & release programs to help avoid feline infestations in my area. I have 3 adopted cats from one of these shelters, had four but lost one to cancer 2 years back...that one was smarter and knew more tricks than the dog in Bravado's other thread not to mention being a stone cold Houdini...so I take offense to someone, anyone who jokes about using cats for target practice. If you wanna be like that, then keep it to yourself.

In addition to what Tom Kanik said, around here half of this problem are stupid people who think that a kitten is cute and cuddly, but don't take pet ownership as a lifelong commitment so when the kitten grows up they just discard it somewhere not caring at all let alone caring that if it survives, it will eventually mate and add to the overpopulation problem. :thumbdn: ...Yet you don't see me joking about using stupid people for target practice, do ya? ...Because they add to a whole 'nother overpopulation problem. :rolleyes:

...And for all you dog lovers... There's just as many a-holes who do the same with that cute puppy they don't want anymore...

Cats are very strange creatures to me. That being said, I do have a feral kitten that my GSD decided we HAD to keep. She's pretty awesome for a cat, I have to admit :)
