is this knife any good? i like it and im thinking of buying it but im kind of worried, i never had a knife with rubber handles? in my experence rubber goes funny with time, either dries and cracks or tends to get a odd sticky texture, anyone got any input?

You might want to ditch the link, that's against the rules. I couldn't say about the rubber handled version but there is a slightly more expensive version with G10 scales. It sells right at or just under $100. I haven't owned this one but the one I handled seemed like a decent knife.

Im just worried about the handle material holding up over time TBH, i like the design and the steel is good enough for me, a nice sheath, just in my experence rubber things wear out and turn crappy, dry out, turn sticky so idk

i have one of the CSAR-Ts with the G10 scales and it an absolute beast of a knife....easily the stoutest/heaviest hard use folder ive ever owned. i wouldnt even bother with trying to use the pocket clip(not sure why they even put one on this knife), its nearly impossible to clip on or pull out your jeans pocket, but it does come with a nice sheath. when i carry mine i usually just drop it in my back right pocket and trust me, you wont forget its there. LOL

as for the rubber grips, i have an older Alpha Hunter with em and they have held up very well over the years. i wouldnt let them scare me away from the Avid model at all

If lets say the rubber went funny and i sent it to buck would they replace them?

Buck stands behind there knives 100%. imo the best in the business

so would the avid model be worth getting or would it be better to chip out a extra 30$ and get the regular? the rubber is what im hesitant about honestly. Espically since im going to be using it every single day.

if the thought of rubber grips bother you that much $30 is a small fee for peace of mind. go for the G10
