But what would make someone choose (other than aesthetic) between a scrapper 5 and 511? Seems like a difference w handle material, choil and ramp.
 
Availability/cost would be the issue for moany...I REALLY like the mudder grip on the Scrapper...!!!!! I have and like both but if pressed the Scrapper would get the nod...!!

I am not 100% but I *think* only the Scrapper LEs were Infini ???? THe CG version would be SR77 and the 511 SR101.

Yep...The Scrapper 5 LEs and the Scrapper 5 SEs are both INFI.
 
The Srapper 5 LE and SE were INFI and the CG model is SR101.
 
I have owned both. The 511 has a tiny handle and was uncomfortable in hand. The S5 on the other hand was amazing!!!! I wish I hand never sold mine. Go with the S5!!
 
The handle material is the same but I think the mudder feels a lot better, and the war dog handle is somewhere in between
 
Of everything mentioned so far, I like the RMD more than all of them, unless a few ounces really matters. They will all get it done though.
 
scrapper 5 for the mudders, much more comfortable handle for a 5" knife, the 511 handle seems small
 
Thanks, I have the Scrapper 5 and didn't remember the steel or if it was thicker, etc. seemed like they were pretty similar.
