This Morning's Fine Flea Market Finds (after a good brushing)...

Firestone De Luxe 2-1/4 lb axe head
Kelly (Pre-AF&H?) 2-1/2 lb axe head
Collins Legitimus 4 lb head

Does anyone out there have any info on who might have mfgd Firestone axes?

Jeez, did the heads come in that great of shape? If not what do you use to clean them up? Do you just use a whole bunch of sanding, or use a rust cleaning substance? But anyway nice haul.:eek:

They came with only a very light surface rust. I use a 3M belt on my sander. Very little pressure, as I never want the heat to build up. I use my hands as a good thermometer.
