*I* like the wood! I love patterned wood. That's a beauty. I'd love to see those materials in a Sebenza!

they come in a sebenza also. they made 17 small sebs and 10 large sebs.
you can find them on the bay.

The Damascus is beautiful and I would love to see more of it but from what I understand it's a limited edition to comemorate Idaho. The wood is made from the plant of their state flower the Damascus is a lake of fire pattern made from 1095 and something else. It also costs a pretty penny.

The wood gives it a nice traditional look.
Looks neat, and not likely to get cries of "Weapon!" if you pull it out to use for normal tasks.

Damn. You had to go and post that Mnandi right?:grumpy: Now I want one...;)

Nice Mnandi, spectacular damascus, nice wood.

Kind regards,

Jos

I am glad you guys like the steel; River of fire pattern from 1084 and 15n20. there are 21 seperate welds in making this steel.

I personally really like the wood also, has a unique apperance like jigged or stippled but that is the way mother nature made it.

thanks again

Looks real good to me, the rough wood seems to complement the damascus pattern.

Wow! I like the tighter grain and flow of the steel, not too partial to more open patterns in most damascus I've seen from other makers (just my taste). Nice job!

The wood reminds me of leather and not wood. I'm sure the more I look at it the more I would like it.

Thanks for sharing zyhano

Guys, I have to admit that I pulled the trigger on this one... I had to get it!
It's awesome, the pictures don't do the mnandi justice. The steel is amazing and looks fabulous, truly beautiful. The wood is very smooth and looks stunning.

you're welcome. I'll share some more when I find the time for it :D It's sooo beautiful, YEAH!

Without a doubt the most beautiful damascus I have seen. The wood was an excellent choice to accompany this damascus too.
