Mid December it'll be 2 years since I completed my first custom knife. In that time I still don't own any of my own work, with the exception of a couple of rejects I abuse in the shop. This one is mine. It is the first of my CRUX folders. Wanted a fast mechanical look so it's dressed a little different than the standard version.

Specs are:
Oal 8 1/2"
blade 3 3/4" CPM-S30V semi tanto
closed 4 5/8"
.062 Ti frame and lock, blasted inside, satin rub outside
.040 Ti overlay with blasted finish and polished edges
silver G10 scale overlays
right hand thumb stud
tip down Ti pocket clip
black G10 back spacer

As always, critical feedback appreciated.

Thanks for looking,

Sharp looing blade,I have seen some off your other work ,very impressive, love the blade shape, that one is a keeper:)

Sorry to tell you this Lee, but I have been thinking of it for a few days now, and I had to make this comment - but you have made a mistake. The knife you should have kept was the Chamelion Tac you made for me last month. It's sitting on my hip as I write. I've compared it to the above over and over again. I'm sorry, but the Chamelion wins - I was going to say 'by a nose', but I think it was by the extra 3 1/4 inches in blade length the Chamelion has.

Perhaps my natural bias for a medium/large fixed blade has something to do with my decision. But it was the Chamelion you should have kept - hey, but we all make mistakes.

Only joking, you make beautifully designed knives and this one and the Chamelion reflect the effort that you obviously put into the design of your knives.:D

On a more somber note re a great knife designer, my prayers go to the Simonich family on their terrible loss.

Thanks all for the feedback. Couldn't be happier with the way this design worked out. Very comfortable to hold, and very light, just don't know how light as I don't own a scale that measures ounces. Pic of the clip and lock will get done as soon as I can slow the wife down a little.

Thanks again,
Lee
